If you’re like my clients, your business is doing well. You’ve built something great, you’re getting paid, you’re paying your team and you’ve got a decent pipeline of new leads coming through the door. Congratulations - that’s a pretty awesome accomplishment!
But every now and then, you get an unsettling reminder that maybe — just maybe — your financial house isn’t quite in order.
And… you’re probably right.
Being a CFO and a data + technology nerd for 20 years, I’ve seen it all. I’ve managed annual budgets of $100M+ and run 375+ person departments. But I’ve also owned 4 of my own small businesses and worked with sub-$500K companies to help them build lean, automated businesses that are sustainable, profitable, and resilient. No matter the size of the company, the same problems always crop up -- and the key to fixing them is having a better understanding of how your business runs.
